‘I Have Been Hurt By Man United’s Bad Results’- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has been “hurt” by Manchester United’s results this season but “does not care” what people have been saying about him.
The Red Devils collected their first Premier League away win of the season by beating Norwich 3-1 at Carrow Road.
Solskjaer’s job as United manager has been under scrutiny following a poor start to the season.
“The one that need to trust me and the ones that matter, they don’t mind,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport.
United were 15th going into the game against the Canaries, just two points above the relegation zone, but climbed up to seventh with their first three points outside Old Trafford
Solskjaer said:
“This had been a good week for us. It started with a decent performance against Liverpool and now two wins away from home. It gives the players confidence and momentum.
“We have missed Anthony, he is a very important player for us, the way we play and today Marcus Rashford was excellent down the sides and in the middle. A great response to missing the penalty, chasing back and scoring.
“The third was a very good goal and a class finish. It is great for Martial to score a goal like that. We could and should have had a few more goals.”
Asked if he has been hurt by the criticism towards him, Solskjaer replied:
“I have been hurt by the results, I don’t know what has been said.
“I do not care about that, anyone can have their opinion and that is none of my business to comment on, I am not hurting because of what someone says about me.”

Paul Pogba Ruled Out Until December

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has been ruled out until December.
Pogba has struggled with an ankle injury since August and has featured just five times in the Premier League this season.
United had hoped the France international, would return for United’s Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
But Red Devils boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has ruled the player out for at least another month.
“I don’t think we’ll see Paul maybe before December. He’ll be out for a while. He needs time to fully, fully recover, so I don’t think he’ll be back.
“Maybe after the international break – but probably December before you see him.
“I’m not the doctor, but there is an injury there that needs healing. It is his ankle rather than his foot,” Solksjaer said after their 3-1 win at Norwich on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho Reveals Liverpool’s Weakness After 1-1 Draw With Manchester United

Former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has said Liverpool have “limitations against teams with low blocks”, after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.
The Reds dropped points for the first time in the Premier League this season, after Adam Lallana cancelled out Marcus Rashford’s goal.
United had the better of the match in the first half and looked set to hand the Reds their first defeat of the league season, before Lallana rose from the bench to secure a point.
Liverpool have not won at Old Trafford since 2014 and manager Jurgen Klopp explained after the match, how his team find it difficult because United simply want to defend against them.
Mourinho agreed with this assessment, describing United’s defensive outlook as a “low block” and saying Liverpool’s failure to break it down is a major weakness. ‘
“Their quality as a team to play against a low block, which is a problem that sometimes they have,” Mourinho said on Sky Sports.
“They have these fantastic records of all these victories, but they have some limitations against teams with low blocks.
“Jurgen clearly has a little bit of frustration, they are a fantastic team, but at Old Trafford, a special place for Liverpool to win, he never did it.”

Ed Woodward Speaks On Plans To Sell Manchester United

Manchester United’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, has insisted the club isn’t for sale.
The Glazer family first bought a stake in the Red Devils in 2003, before completely taking over the club in 2005.
There have been recent speculation, that Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, could be interested in buying United. But, Woodward stressed the Glazers remain committed to the club.
“Based on what I see, they’re in it for the long term.
“With regards to offers or asking prices, my understanding is that there have been no discussions for a price for the club or anything like that. Every conversation we have is based on the long-term.
“The debt is a long-term, structured and similar to some other football clubs. It’s a fixed amount for a fixed period of time, which results in it being fairly cheap to service. It’s just under two per cent of our annual revenue each year, so it doesn’t really have any impact on us.
“If you look at the way the approach changed under the Glazers for commercial activity, that has brought in an extra £2.5-£3 billion. We have spent a lot of money on players.
“We are financially strong. We are self-sustaining. We don’t have an umbilical cord that we are concerned about. There’s negativity about us doing sponsorship deals but they allow us to do things in the transfer market which other clubs struggle to do.
“We absolutely feel we are on the right track to getting back to winning trophies,” Woodward told the United We Stand fanzine of the Glazers.

Solskjaer Reveals The Clubs That Can Stop Man United From Finishing In Top 4

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named four clubs that can stop his side from finishing in the top four positions on the English Premier League (EPL) table this season.
Solskjaer stated that Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City could stop the Red Devils from qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League by taking the two spots in the top four position on the EPL table this term.
Solskjaer’s men are currently sitting on eleven positions on the Premier League table with eight points from six games ahead of tonight’s clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
“The top two last season were too far ahead from the rest of us,” Solskjaer told reporters at his pre-match press conference ahead of Man United’s clash against Arsenal on Monday night.
“But I think we should be in and around the places behind there. Chelsea are going through a similar period of rebuilding.
“There’s Arsenal, Tottenham, us, you’ve got Leicester. There are loads of teams wanting those positions and that’s where we’ll be, in and around.”
The kick-off time for the match is 8pm.

Solskjaer Reveals The Star Player He Will Sign For Man United In January

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has said he would be looking to sign attacking players, when the transfer window re-opens in January.

EPL: Man Utd identify Solskjaer’s replacement

Manchester United are eyeing Paris Saint-Germain manager, Thomas Tuchel, as a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, if the Norwegian cannot inspire an improvement at the club, Daily Mail reports.
Although, they have won their last two games, United went through a poor spell before, where they drew with Wolves and Southampton and lost to Crystal Palace.
Their performances have also left a lot to be desired and many believe Solskjaer may not last much longer, unless he can turn things around quickly, starting with a win against in-form West Ham on Sunday.
It is understood that Tuchel is the man who the powers that be at United are keeping tabs on to step in, if Solskjaer is eventually relieved of his duties.
The 46-year-old German has been in charge at PSG since 2018 and led his side to the Ligue 1 title last season.
Tuchel is under contract until 2021 and it is unclear whether he would be willing to give up Champions League football to join United.
Solskjaer’s side have a tricky looking upcoming schedule, with Arsenal and Liverpool to play before the end of October, as well as the trip to West Ham.
His future may depend on how United perform in these games.
