Rashford Breaks Silence On Manchester United’s Recent Form

Marcus Rashford has broken silence over the recent form of Manchester United.

This was after the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Newcastle in the English Premier League on Sunday, October 7.

United went into the game following a goalless draw against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League.

Reacting to the recent form, Rashford tweeted that it hasn’t been good enough and it hurts.

”You can’t hide in football and the last few weeks simply haven’t been good enough. As a United fan myself, that hurts. And you deserve better. We know we need to improve and that is our sole focus as a team and as a club”.

Manchester United are currently 12th on the EPL table with just 9 points.

EPL: Man Utd defender Barcelona wanted to buy this summer revealed

Victor Lindelof’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has claimed Barcelona tried to sign the defender from Manchester United, after Matthijs de Ligt rejected them to join Juventus.
The Catalan side were one of the leading contenders to sign De Ligt from Ajax, before he made a €75million move to Italy in July.
Barca turned their attention to Lindelof before the transfer window closed, but he ended up signing an extension earlier this month.
“Lindelof was perhaps Man Utd’s best player last season, and there was a lot of interest from clubs that are even better [than United] at the moment.
“When Matthijs de Ligt chose Juventus, Victor was pronounced Barcelona’s first choice.
“His way of playing, his DNA, is very close to Barcelona’s way of playing. He is one of the world’s best centre-backs with the ball at his feet, and Barcelona wanted him. That’s how it was. I can talk about that now.
“They contacted Ed Woodward on numerous occasions with concrete offers. I had a meeting with their transfer manager, Matt Judge, to try to make a transition. But they just said: ‘There is no chance. Victor is one of our best players’.
“It ended up being a new agreement instead, even though Victor actually had three years left. Usually, they do not make extensions with players who have so long left on the contract, but when there was an interest at this level they had no other option,” Cetinkaya told Aftonbladet.

EPL: Rashford reveals key difference between Solskjaer, Mourinho

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer understands his players better than Jose Mourinho did, because of his then playing career.
Solskjaer played in his native Norway, before he moved to Old Trafford, where he made his name.
Mourinho, meanwhile, never played at the top level, instead followed an early pathway into coaching, which began from a period as translator to Bobby Robson at Barcelona.
When asked by BBC’s Gary Lineker whether Solskjaer differed to Mourinho, Rashford said: “He’s [Solskjaer] very different but I think it’s expected because he’s played. Off the pitch he understands the players a bit more.”
Lineker then pressed further to know if it was a problem for Mourinho, that he had never played to a similar level.
“I don’t think it was a problem for him, because he’s obviously a top manager and he has his way of reading people.
“But for me, I think when a manager has played, they’ve lived the lifestyle that we’ve lived and they might be a bit more understanding,” Rashford responded.
Solskjaer replaced Mourinho in December, 2018.

EPL: Solskjaer confirms Pogba, others will miss Leicester City clash

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial will miss his side’s Premier League clash against Leicester City on Saturday at Old Trafford.
According to him, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jesse Lingard may likely feature for the Red Devils against the visitors.
Pogba, Wan-Bissaka and Lingard were all forced to withdraw from national-team duty due to injury or illness, while Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial missed Man United’s clash against Southampton.
“I can’t promise any of them [Pogba, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Lingard and Martial] will be on the pitch but we’ll try to get one or two more on the bench,” Solskjaer told MUTV on Friday.
“Let’s see when we get to the game. Maybe next weekend [at West Ham United], we’ll have more of them back. That’s how it is in football and why we have loads of quality and numbers and we’re fine.”
He added: “Well, the treatment room has been busy and still is. “We don’t really know who is going to be available. Maybe Aaron, maybe Jesse and I think maybe that’s it from the ones that had to pull out [of the internationals], but I can’t promise those two will be available either.
”Pogba won’t be fit, no, unless he’s had a miraculous recovery overnight from yesterday to today or maybe from tonight to tomorrow. He’s not ready to do 100 per cent training, no. We hope, as I’ve said, that more can be ready for West Ham next week and Paul and Anthony are in that category. I think they’ll be ready for then and I can’t say more than that really.”
The kick-off time for the match is 3pm.
